Pearl was first conceived in 1998 when Iain Smallridge, an experienced captain, and John Yarnold, a local businessman, began building 41’ and 45’ aft cabin yachts. They set their standards high, endeavoring to compete with the best yacht builders in the world. It all started in Stratford-upon-Avon – Shakespeare’s hometown – with the aim of designing and producing yachts for the discerning English sea lover. In 2003, Margaret & Tony Whittaker, both entrepreneurs and yachting enthusiasts, decided to invest in the brand, introducing their vision to produce a range of sleek, stylish flybridge yachts that would attract the attention of yacht buyers on the Mediterranean and beyond.
Pearl Yachts is now recognized as a lean, dynamic and forward-looking company with an enviable reputation for producing a low volume of high-quality yachts. The great efforts of her team have paid off, and Margaret’s vision has been realised: at the helm of a Pearl, the world is your oyster.
